Wayoo! Im Matt. I’m the sound operator and foley artist for Hardly Artists Productions. Basically I record audio and make sound effects with a bunch of random sh*t. Along with recently becoming one of our junior writers (keep an eye out for one of my projects soon! (hopefully… if I ever stop rewriting it…)). As you can tell I am indeed a Norse God, which makes me the best Key Grip we got beings I can (and do) carry everything. (Golly look at those muscles <3 they’re only getting bigger and hotter).
This is me in the field, wearing my professional work attire. I aspire to be the boom mic operator from the first Star Wars wearing only short shorts while filming in the desert.
I got started with “HA” a couple years ago after slowly but surely infiltrating their ranks through the weekly movie nights, working alongside many of our teammates in theater productions, and joining our “Dungeons & Dragons” campaign. Along with attending some parties prior and winning them over with my cute smile and boyish wonder. I always wanted to be somewhere in the movie making world. I assumed it’d be acting but so far our producers decided I look better behind the camera, so I’ll gladly hold a boom mic until my opportunity arises to step in front and claim my Oscar(s)… On an actual serious note, I couldn’t be happier working with this wonderful team. I’ve found a family here that I don’t ever want to leave, this is a group of creators that welcome all creativity and offer a safe place and safe working environment. I love all our “Hardly” Artists!
